I’m delighted to have been asked to build presentation cases for whisky commissioned by Sedbergh School to mark its 500th anniversary. The spirit from Annandale distillery will be bottled in time for the School’s anniversary in 2025. Three distinct whiskies will be produced.

I will be making three presentation cabinets for the first bottle of each whisky and a further 4 presentation boxes for bottles number 2-5 of each whisky. The designs feature a variety of motifs which alumni of the School will quickly recognise.
The timber has come from Duffield Timber run by Old Sedberghians, Joe & Sam; and gold leaf applied by a near neighbour, David Wright and another Sedbergh family. So, it’s very much in-house.
A fun project with lots of creative scope. Work starts on Monday.
