This piece started life as a jointing exercise and includes lap joints, various tenons and domino joints. Of course it would have been possible to incorporate more, but that’s for another time.
The outcome is a wonderfully versatile table which can be used for coffee cups and magazines. And the solid ash, robust dimensions and an excess of legs means it is also perfect for sitting on, drawing and dancing on. It can be used to build camps and barricades, become a stage or a soapbox.
This is heirloom furniture for the youngest client!
